Categories

To make sure all students and staff are eligible for some public appreciation, but also make it simple for students and staff to vote and nominate, we have two faculty awards with a total of four categories. 

Some winners will also be used as input for the VU Central Teaching awards. 

Student Award

This prize is to reward students who excel not only in their studies, but shine in other areas as well. This can be sports, volunteering, a contribution to society or anything else that is nothing short of impressive! Any student who fits the criteria below can be nominated. The list of nominees will also be used as input for the VU Central awards.

Teacher Award

This prize is for teachers who go the extra mile and deserve some time in the spotlight! Just nominate a teacher who you think deserves to win an award! The list of nominees will also be used as input for the VU Central Teaching awards. 

*There has been some changes in the procedure of this year's FGB education awards. As of this year, it will become a full student award where only students will nominate fellow students & teachers and vote for their favourite nominee in each category, so it is most likely that no student will nominate an employee who does not teach. Therefore, we made the hard decision to remove this category for this year's education award. Nevertheless, we are currently looking for ways to still hand out these awards for employees who do not teach because we still think that you are valuable to the faculty and university and deserve the recognition for what you do!
