2020-2021

Geert Buijtenweg

Faculty Education Award

Juryrapport

Geert is a great team worker! He’s coaching the team of tutors in Human Movement Sciences in a perfect way. His passion for online teaching stands out as well, he is able to optimize education to every circumstance, at all times. Of course, Geert will argue that this is a collaborative achievement of the Blended Learning team, but it is greatly led by Geert. And besides this, he’s always in for a good joke to cheer up the mood!

2019-2020

Brenda van Keeken

Faculty Education Award

Juryrapport

Brenda knows (almost) every student in Human Movement Sciences, and (almost) every student knows Brenda. This is because Brenda looks beyond the student, and builds a personal connection. She can be blunt, but is always fair. Besides her regular teaching jobs, Brenda started and maintains an alumni file, regularly publishes an alumni magazine, manages a LinkedIn group for Human Movement Scientists, and is instrumental in facilitating internships for students outside the university. Brenda is the binding factor to the Department of Human Movement Sciences both for students and alumni as well as for colleagues and teachers.

2018-2019

Anja de Koning

Faculty Education Award

Juryrapport

Anja impressed the jury with the skill and enthusiasm she fulfilled one of the less popular tasks at the faculty: updating and implementing examination models. Not only that, she did so with exceptional results by her personal approach. People who have worked with her described her as brave, competent, inspiring and as a someone who knows when to take a step back if needed. Anja listens to problems, understands these problems and stays nice and modest.
